N2  - OMCT aims to analyze national law in terms of the international commitments that the government has made. It analyzes the legal framework of the country for the protection of the Child and acknowledges the intent of the country to develop a national strategy to protect child rights. OMCT also notes down the recommendations and suggestions made by the Committee stating that Italian legislative provisions concerning the protections against torture and other cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment are insufficient
