SURVEY OF CHILD LABOUR - REASONS AND AMELIORATIVE MEASURES : CONDUCTED FOR SAVE THE CHILDREN CANADA-INDIA - . 1998 -

This research paper is a study on child labour, it’s effects and ways to eradicate it undertaken in a tribal block, a rural belt and few slums of Amaravati district in the state of Maharashtra, India. The paper presents data on the number of working children in the district and the features of the child labour like family size, parents' occupation, annual income, sex, etc. In different talukas of the district. It talks about 3 major regions – Dharani, Mardi and Amaravati district. Finally, the paper also provides an insightful discussion and suggestions for the region to emerge out of the poor economic conditions.
