The Second East Asia and the Pacific Regional Consultation on the Convention on the Rights of the Child was organized with the objectives of enabling ratifying states to discuss the reporting guidelines, exchange experiences on how to translate the Convention into national laws, discuss implementations and monitoring issues as well as possible ways to overcome ratification constraints and explore approaches to regional cooperation for the promotion of child survival, protection and development.
