<br/><br/> The Netherlands Trade Union Confederation and the International Working Group on Child Labour collaboratively organized a consultation between trade unions and NGOs on October 25-26, 1995, in Amsterdam. This event convened approximately 70 representatives from trade unions, NGOs, and academics, with the aim of sharing experiences, identifying practical actions on the ground and in campaigns to combat child labor, and exploring potential solutions. The two-day consultation comprised six sessions covering various aspects, including consulting with children, formulating strategies and action plans. Each session featured two to three discussion leaders who presented key issues, followed by open discussions. The report meticulously documents the proceedings of each discussion and provides a summary of the main conclusions drawn from the consultation.
