<br/><br/> The Committee consisted of ten independent experts who served in their personal capacity representing the different geographical regions and the principal legal systems in the world. The role of the committee was foreseen as positive and important for monitoring the Convention, enabling the identification of problems and difficulties affecting the realization of the rights of the child, as well as pointing to possible solutions and mobilizing resources for a better implementation of this international instrument.
