A consultation on Media and Child Labour was organized on 22nd and 23rd October 1992 to develop a viable strategy for supporting the Government's efforts in advocating against child labour and to create advocacy packages for widespread dissemination and use. The objectives were to identify target groups, recognize available media groups and resources, establish modalities for formulating and implementing strategies, and project formulation. Forty-nine participants from government departments, the press, communication agencies, voluntary organizations, and academia attended the consultation. The book comprehensively covers the proceedings of the consultation.
