Cuba is an archipelago, that is, it i a group of Island situated in the Caribbean ea between the two Americas. There are two main island - Isle of Cuba and the Isle of Youth and some 1600 small island, with a total area of labour 1,11,000 square kilometres. It has a population of about 1.1 crore (2001) and a density of 100 persons per square kilometre. It is a tropical country like Kerala in Southern India with a rainfall of 1300 mm (52 inches) per year. The main food crops are rice, corn, cassava, beans, plantains and circus fruits.
