There were representatives of trade unions from sectors such as Construction Workers, Textiles, Handloom, Knitwear, Manufacturing, Engineering, Agriculture, Plantation, Anganwadi Workers, Fisheries, Domestic Workers and Railways.They deliberated on the labour rights violatons in the different sectors and came up with specific tasks which included carrying out a study on the judicial pronouncements on labour cases since 1991, setting up high power trade unions to enquire into labour rights violations, campaigning for the redrafting of the National Textile Policy and carrying out a study on the status of contract workers in the context of labour legislations.
